Sunday School Information
Christian Education and Spiritual FormationNursery is located behind the sanctuary and provides care for infants through 3-year-olds. It is available from 8:45-12:15 every Sunday morning during worship and Sunday School. It is staffed by paid personnel and supported by background-checked volunteers. Nursery policies and guidelines are posted. If you are leaving your precious little ones in our care, please make sure we have an updated information card on file in the nursery. Children’s Church: During 9:00 worship, nursery-aged children will be dismissed to the Nursery. Children ages 4-9 will be dismissed to Solomon’s Temple. They are encouraged to stay for Sunday School, which begins at 10:00. During 11:00 worship, children will be dismissed to Solomon’s Temple. Sunday School: Two’s and three’s meet in the nursery for stories, games, and simple crafts. Children in VPK through 5th grade meet in Solomon’s Temple and the art room. Parents, please pick up your children at 10:45.
Student Ministries Sunday SchoolMiddle School students meet in room 10 each Sunday morning. This week they continue to dig into some startling scripture passages that show us more of who God is and what it means to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ. High School students meet in the Loft from 10:15-11:00 each Sunday morning for a time of fellowship, prayer, and study. They are currently working on developing a vision in action project.
Adult Sunday School Classes meet at 10:00 between worship services.

They are seeking to explore contemporary issues within a Christian context. Logos: Devry Nix is leading this group that meets in room 11C to study the Book of Romans. Open Door: This class meets in room 11B. Led by various people, they are discussing, “What does the Bible say about itself?” Serendipity: This class meets in the Middle Conference room of the church office. Frank Wilson is the leader; they are discussing the book of Isaiah. Hands and Feet: This class meets in room 11A. Mary Hoffmann leads this outreach-focused Sunday School class. Studying what the Bible says about putting our faith into action, we will be discussing some of the opportunities here at First Presbyterian for taking that step. On the first Sunday of the month, we will pack Manna bags together as one of the ways we can put our faith into action. Faithful Families: This class meets in the Large Conference Room of the church office. Parents and grandparents are invited to join us on any Sunday. The focus is on discussing practical ways for families to live out their faith. Making Connections: Do you want to know more about what it means to be Presbyterian? Do you want to know more about what it means to be a part of the church family at First Pres DeLand? This 4-week class, led by Donna McClellan and Pastor Bodger on Sunday mornings at 10:00.
