Just for Today
Keep on loving each other as friends. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13, 1-2 (NIV)
Our sermon on hospitality (Luke 7:36-50) is an answer to the “Good Samaritan” from Ash Wednesday answers that question. We show by our mission projects locally that we are all God’s children Children. Harland had several excellent examples of how we make room for others in our lives and in our Community of Faith at 724 North Woodland boulevard.
We are to be open to receiving those who come to us. God’s Bathhouse and IDignity are two events where we allow “strangers” to become “friends.”
“Just for Today”
- Pray to be open to the folks that come into your lives today. Engage them in conversation. get to know them – really!
- We are to extend a welcome to all. Mr. Rogers said, “Welcome to my neighborhood!”
