Just for Today

We do see Jesus – crowned now by God with glory and honor because he suffered death for us.  Yes, because of God’s great kindness, Jesus tasted death for everyone in all the world.  Hebrews 2:9 (paraphrase)

The plan of salvation involves Jesus sacrificial death on the cross.  This presents a universal call to all who hear the message and respond.  We are to respond to this call with thanksgiving and gratitude.

His suffering sets an example to us of how to respond to the pain and suffering of those around us.  We are to be sensitive to the needs of others.  As we see Jesus in a personal way, we desire to share our stories.  The small group gives us opportunity to share in a personal way.

“Just for Today”

  • If you grew up in the church, you are familier with John 3:16.  “for God so loved the world.”  this universal call is still made everydayin homes, schools and churches.
  • Our services during Lent point to the cross.  Life in community gives us opportunity to share and to practice “loving in the Name of Jesus.”
  • Count your blessings Today – with thanksgiving.
