Just for Today
The definition of love is found in I Corinthians 13:4-7
Read the passage from several translations.
Love is patient, kind, never proud, haughty or rude. Love does not hold grudges. Love is not critical. Love helps us be loyal to friends and family. Love expects the best of others and accepts all people.
Love is not manipulative. In a church, love accepts all people. Harmony comes when we love others enough to accept them where they are – just as we are accepted by others.
One of our Sunday School Classes is called “Open Door.” (Room 11B) We need open doors and open hearts to practice love!!
“Just for Today”
- Most of us have one relationship that is a challenge. Today, pray for the person or situation. Ask God to fill your heart with love and acceptance for the person.
- Love does not “keep score.” Let go of a situation where you were hurt. Be open to change and do not be critical..
